Checking in! Hair Updates!

Hey y'all!

I feel so bad I've been slacking terribly on posting frequent blog posts. I've been in Tennessee the past 2 months for work & I'm just now getting home and being able to relax, and I've been doing just that! lol

Just some updates on what's going on with my hair. I recently purchased some Malaysian Curly Virgin hair & got a sew in! I'm going to Miami in a few weeks and felt like this was the perfect time to give my hair a break as well as have that perfect "wet and wavy" beach hair lol :)

So here's a few pics of my hair after I had it installed. I simply co-washed the hair with Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Conditioner, smoothed some Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum and finished off with CURLS Creme Brulee for extra curl definition.

I wish I knew how to rotate these pics lol :(

So about this hair:

After doing extensive research I purchased the hair from The hair came in 3 bundles which was enough for a full sew in (just left my edges out all around so that I could put the hair up in a ponytail if needed)  I wanted a very natural look, not too extra lol so the lengths I purchased were 12" 14" and 16" can get this hair in any 3 lengths that you want or all the same length! The hair is a natural brown color so after installation I did a jet black rinse.

Here's the link for the exact hair I ordered:

I ordered the hair on a Thursday and I thought it would take a long time since it was coming from China but it was at my house on Wednesday! Fast shipping is always a plus!

Being the YouTube junkie that I am, I watched SEVERAL videos of how to properly take care of this hair. Before I got it installed I sealed the wefts (something that I had never heard of before) to minimize shedding.

Here's the video I followed:

Soooo about the sew I don't know if I'm becoming EXTRA tender headed since I've grown my hair out and very rarely wear braids but chile them braids were wayyyy TOO tight for me! I had an ongoing headache for 5 days straight! And I was really getting worried that the thread was pulling my braids too tight and would leave me with bald spots so I took my sew in out. :(

I know I know what a waste of money smh but I couldn't risk having any bald spots or that ongoing pain I had lawd. But a great alternative that I discovered was making the hair into clip ins!!! I was so excited when the idea popped in my head so OF COURSE I took to YouTube lol

This video helped tremendously and I successfully converted all my tracks into clip ins! I just did this yesterday so I haven't put them in yet. But to prep my hair for the clip ins, I flat twisted my hair all over. I think I'm going to leave the back twists in and clip in the tracks on top of them and then blend the hair with my leave out in the front.

I plan on trying this tomorrow & I will record a video to show you all how it goes! Let me know if you have any questions about this hair! I'd love to help!

Comment and let me know what kind of blog posts you would like to see. Are there any styles or products you want to see? Or any tips specifically that you need help with? Let me know, this blog is for you all!

Hope everyone is staying cool in this heat! Have a blessed day :)
