Flexi Rod Set That Lasts for DAYSSSSS

Hey loves! I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. This is hands down my favorite time of the year! Last week I was trying to figure out a hairstyle that will last me a while so I didn't have to do my hair for a couple days and a handy dandy flexi rod set came to mind :)

Prepping My Hair:
  1. I washed my hair with Shea Moisture Yucca & Baobab Shampoo (caught on sale at Target for $4.99 #win)
  2. Followed by Trader Joe's Tingle Tea Tree Conditioner ($4.00 at Trader Joe's)
  3. To finish off, I applied an apple cider vinegar rinse to my hair (2/3 water and 1/3 apple cider vinegar)
  4. Because I have color treated hair, I have to deep condition every week. This week I used Shea Moisture's Yucca and Baobab Anti-Breakage Masque

Setting My Hair:

Using EcoStyler Argan Oil Gel, I applied a small amount to each piece of hair. I wrapped that piece of hair around the hair in a spiral motion and bent the end of the flexi rod in the opposite direction of the curl to hold it in place. I used about 30 of the medium sized orange rods and once I ran out, I used about 15 of the smaller sized red rods in the front of my hair. I sat under the dryer for about 45 minutes then allowed my hair to air dry an additional 30 minutes. Once I removed the flexi rods, I put some oil on my fingers and separated the curls.

This is Day 3 hair

In the evenings, I pineappled my hair using a satin scarf and satin bonnet. You can find the YouTube video showing the process here
